The remark about it not being 'in his nature' to like the cat caused Lea to quirk an eyebrow. "Mine specifically?", he asked. "Or just humans in general." The tone suggested it was the latter, but he wanted to be sure before the conversation went much further.

Lea almost didn't look up as the cat began to talk about Flit. It all sounded like things he'd been told before, none of which made the situation any better. None of it changed what he'd had to do, or the suffering Flit had been forced to endure for that asshole Galos' dreams of power.

The last bit, though, made him look up. "Wait... she asked you to?", Lea said, surprised and a bit confused. He studied the cat a bit more carefully for a long moment, as if he could verify the truth of what the cat was saying just by staring hard enough.

Finally he spoke again, his tone one of mingled suspicion and curiosity. "Who are you...?", he asked.
