[Jadewing's expression turns thoughtful for a moment. He was reminded of the Seeker tendency to not associate with anyone who couldn't fly, or at least, anyone with a ground-bound alternate mode. Reactions to non-fliers ranged from mild condescension, to general disregard, to outright disdain.
Or maybe it wasn't quite the same thing. Regardless, he was familiar with the concept.]
Hmph... Distance is one thing. Disappearing into the wilderness for months at a time and not giving those they were theoretically in charge of any idea when or if they'd be back is another. And the only reason they did eventually turn up was that the whole damn planet was about to get fragged.
[Clearly, their lack of presence was rather irksome to Jadewing. He'd never even seen one until the very end when the whole planet was in danger of being devoured by Unicron. Oddly that thought made him briefly notice the small, warm weight of the talisman Solus and Nexus had given him, tucked securely away in a small storage compartment in his cockpit, which in turn made him feel slightly guilty. But only slightly.]
And you're already doing better than a good chunk of those in my universe would then. You'd be surprised how many people really can't handle power. Even relatively benign power, like yours.
[Like, say, most Decepticons, probably including Jadewing himself. He chuckles slightly, though, at the warning not to go exploring alone.]
Not to worry. I've already had someone... very politely insist that he come with me. And we'll probly see if anybody else wants to come before we actually head out.
