Guardians come from all kinds of worlds and races. Who gives us our powers depends on where we're from. One of those seen as a god in my world is the one who made me what I am, and I'd be willing to bet he may have started like me at one point. Now that I'm a Guardian and can pass power to others. In time, even you could become a Guardian.
