Merry Christmas to all...

Who: Lea and Jendayi first, then later Lea and anyone  who wants to come visit for the holiday
Where: Lea and Jendayi's apartment

What: IT'S CHRISTMAS! :D

Morning, for Jendayi

Lea still couldn't believe he'd managed to find an artificial Christmas tree and a few boxes of ornaments at the warehouse. OK, so the ornaments were obviously old and a little tacky. They were still Christmas ornaments. It meant that he could give Jendayi a proper Christmas. They'd decorated it together while he explained about what Christmas meant and some of the traditions. 

And this morning, aside from a few toys he'd arranged neatly under the tree as surprises for her, Lea had a very special present for Jendayi. Now he just needed to wait for her to wake up.

Later in the day, everyone else

OK, so it wasn't really a proper Christmas dinner. More like all of his and Jendayi's favorite foods that could be made with the ingredients available to them, all laid out buffet style on the kitchen table. They were only expecting a couple of friends, if anyone came over at all, but there were plenty of plates and plenty of food to go around if anyone did.

“Calisse de crisse, this is weird.” Despite the sacres, Sam's tone was contemplative, even as she shifted her weight to kick (lightly!) at Lea's door. The lid on the casserole dish in her hands clinked with the movement, but remained secure; it slid just enough to make noise, but served its purpose, as the unmarked marshmallows millimeters below evidenced. “The closest it's come to feeling like Christmas, and still warm enough for shorts. I'm not actually complaining, only observing. It's weird.”

Wait? There would be no waiting! After hearing all about this she’s barely slept for the anticipation of what was to come this morning! If he needed a moment to get things ready this morning, he would have had to banish her to her room or outside with Fang and Woo to keep her occupied until he said she could come out/back in!!

She’s out her bedroom door the moment she hears him come out his, and is wrapped around a leg before he can get past her down the hall. “Merry Christmas!” She made sure she knew the right thing to say this morning. New holidays are fun! First one about food, and now this!
