The Vanishing

Who: The kidnapees - Bulkhead, Blurr, Wing, Gunmax, Lea, and Sentinel Prime
What: Someone has been kidnapping residents of Haven. The latest batch has just been gathered.
Where: Unknown
When: Middle of the night on Halloween and into the day of November 1.
Warnings: Consider this log rated R for violence and physical and emotional trauma.
NOTES: For this log, each reply should be to the main post rather than any particular tag. This is to help keep things flowing as people will tag when able. This also means there will be no set posting order, though if you're expecting another's character to answer/react to something yours said/did, then be patient and give them a chance to respond.

The Sol hangs dark in the sky. Only one of the two moons currently lights the night, and it hovers at the horizon. It's the darkest part of the night. For some, it will grow darker.

A handful of residents have been singled out. Awake or asleep it will happen the same. Darkness seems to come alive, a black that swallows light, appearing like a hole in space, creeps across the ground towards its victim. If one is awake to see, the blackness will take on the shape of reaching hands sliding across the floor and down the walls. And then the flat shapes will bubble like some thick goop, continuing to reach for the victim.

There will be no escape. The victim will be quickly surrounded and swallowed by the thick muck, engulfing them completely. Those not already unconscious will quickly become so.

The victims wake, their bodies laid out carefully across the floor. The room is cavernous, the ceiling stretching high above even the tallest Cybertronian's head. The ground beneath the new arrivals is covered with markings and designs, looking like some arcane ritual circle. They are not bound down at all, though leaving the circle around them will be like pushing through a few inches of thick, resistant goop. Once beyond the circle, they will be able to move freely about the cavern. There's only one opening into the place, and it is filled with the thick, light-absorbing goop that brought them all here.

There is a strange, mildly uncomfortable sensation in each victim's chest. It's a tugging, a constant pull. The longer they are there, the stronger the sensation will get...and the more painful. Stepping outside of the ritual circle will not ease this sensation at all.

Directly in front of the new arrivals is a raised area, like a stage or altar. Right in the center appears to be a female child. She's clearly a techno-organic of some sort - her alt-mode looks like it would be some sort of bat. Five tall poles are driven into the ground around her at the points of the pentagram drawn on the floor. The lines of the drawing almost seem to "glow" with a black energy. From the top of each pole, a line of the same dark energy reaches down to each of the girl's limbs - one around each ankle, each wrist, and one around her throat. She writhes in pain, though she seems far too exhausted to cry out.

Around the child are four smaller circles, a bubble of dark energy suspended above each. Two of these bubbles contain a sphere-like gem within it, energy swirling within the gem itself, one greenish-grey and one shades of black. Another bubble contains what looks like a small, red dragon, curled into a ball and sleeping. The last bubble contains a familiar Guardian healer, also curled into a ball and seemingly asleep.

Those looking closely may note a stream of energy rising from the circle around the new arrivals and flowing into the little girl, and then rising from that circle and flowing up through the ceiling to some unknown destination.

Behind the new arrivals is a pile of bodies, both organic and Cybertronian. At first glance, they may be taken for dead, but closer inspection will reveal that they are all alive...even if they perhaps should not be. Some have been clearly tortured, bodies gruesomely opened up or limbs broken or removed. The injuries for many of them should be fatal, and yet they live, if only in a seemingly vegetative state.

Blurr happened to be awake when all this mess started, he was back to his bad habits to not resting enough, and was deeply frustrated when he was unable to outrun the thick mucky hands.

He was also more than a bit freaked out, a feeling that only gets worse when he realizes that he's trapped in a creepy enclosed cave. He starts vocalizing his complains in the same fashion as Gunmax but given his fast speech patter the words are unintelligible.]
