And we take, take, take it for granted that we’ll be the same
When: Backdated to just after escaping from the chaos following Galos' defeat
Where: Where the group ended up after fleeing, outside the city with the battlefield still in clear view
What: Lea and Elsa have their first lover's spat.... in full view of everyone. Awkwaaaaaard...
Warnings: Anger, guilt, various other feels. Discussion of nasty and violent things that happened during the event.
When the rumbling behind them finally stopped and the group finally came to a halt, Lea took a moment to catch his breath, bracing one hand against a nearby rock for support. he was almost surprised to realize that he was still holding one of the Eternal Flames in that hand and he ended up staring at it for a moment, as if unsure why it was there, before dismissing it. The part of his mind that was still working logically told him that he was probably somewhat in shock. Everything was just fuzzy and it was taking awhile for his heart and mind to catch up after his body had been forced into frantic flight.
When things did catch up a few moments later, though, he almost wished they hadn't. 'Flit... her name was Flit. And I... I...' There had been no choice. He knew that. Somehow, that didn't help at all. In fact, it made things worse. 'She shouldn't have had to die.' And with what had happened, he wouldn't even get to roast the bastard that had caused it all. Not that it would have changed anything. But oh, how he wanted to. All this, and for what? Some deluded attempt at controlling Darkness? Lea almost managed a bitter laugh, but it died in his throat. Somethings, it seemed, were the same no matter what world you were in.
Lea sighed. Attempting to collect himself. Two things he needed to do right away. The first and foremost was to find Elsa and make sure she was alright. There hadn't been time for even a glance before fleeing for their lives from the collapse of Galos' dreams of power, and with all this ice and snow around, she had to be there somewhere.
And the second... was to take a long shower. Possibly more than one. He could still feel the thick, clinging Darkness in that cave on him, as if it had seeped into his skin. He almost imagined hie could smell it on himself. He couldn't was away the memories, wouldn't even if he could, but that smell and that feeling... those were an uncomfortable reminder of dark deed both past and present, and he was intent on washing until he got rid of them.
But first thing was first. "Elsa?", he called out as he straightened up and looked around, trying to spot her.
[[OOC Note: While this post is technically open to everyone, I would ask everyone to post separate sub-threads for other characters interacting. They're free to notice when the argument starts to get heated, (level of reaction from Lea and Elsa may very) but I'd rather keep the main thread between the two of them. Thanks! :3]]

Slightly less snowblind, Elsa wonders what's happened. Further observation answers her question. He's gone. Galos is gone. He's gone, and she didn't end it. She didn't stop him; what did?
She didn't know where Lea was, she'd never gotten it out of him. Marshmallow marches back over to his keeper, curious as to why she seems so sad. What's wrong, Elsa? Shrinking away from her creation, he sits, pouting, before pieces of him begin to fall back into the snow. Sooner rather than later, he's naught but a snow bank.
Elsa holds her head in frustration. She did it again. She'd let it all out and she lost control, again. She lost control and now she was going to start all over. Her train of thought continues to spiral downward, the tips of her fingers white with power.
You'll never be the same.
Your rage took control.
You're a danger.
You were vengeful.
You justified violence, and sought to fight it with your ice.
You wanted to kill someone, and you were okay with it.
Why?
Lea.
Because she was scared, she was scared for Lea, and the very idea of her fear becoming anger and vengeance shook her more than any temperature could.
You're the monster they thought you always would be, that you thought you always were.
You're a monster.
The deeper her thoughts spiral, the more intense the wind becomes. She stumbles, trying to keep the feelings of distrust, the feelings of self loathing and despair from continuing. But it all came back to 'You failed, and now you're dangerous. You can never see him again.'
The solid ice under her feet becomes black, permafrost crawling over the top of it. Shaking her head, she falls to her knees, trying to find some semblance of control over her power, over her feelings. She thinks of Anna, but her sister cannot help her this time.
Sitting in her silence, nearly moved to tears, she observes where her thoughts go with Anna.
Anna.
Sister.
Danger?
No. She saved her sister, Anna, whom she longed to protect from her powers at all costs, and she did. Who else did she show that same sentiment to, just now, with such fervor?
Lea.
She was scared she lost Lea; harbinger of control over the ice and snow. Her opposite and yet, her only familiar. Just like she was scared she lost Anna so long ago.
Gods, she was in love with him, and she'd just accepted the fact that she was okay with using her powers to kill.
"No, nonono. No." And she can't hear him over the echoes of her demons.
