Lea blinked when Jendayi said she hadn't had anything to drink. She was obviously drunk, but she hadn't had any alcohol, or anything at all to drink for that matter? He supposed it could be something in the food, but any alcohol used in cooking was burned away, leaving only the flavor. And at any rate, if any at all had been left it would be a negligible amount; hardly enough to get a mouse drunk, let alone a person, even a small one.
Still when she sits back up with sauce on her nose, he can't help but chuckle slightly, his face softening. "Just a second," he said, steadying her face with one hand and grabbing a napkin to dab the sauce off her nose with the other. "There."
Glancing around, he noticed that Jendayi wasn't the only one acting strange. And not everyone was acting drunk either. All of this added up to just one thing. "Hmm...", he said. "I think someone, or maybe something, has metaphorically spiked the punch at this party. This should be interesting..." He just hoped that Jendayi wouldn't have to deal with the after effects of drunkenness the next day...
"C'mon Jendayi," he said. "Let's actually get you a drink and see if that clears your head a bit." Hydration was important, after all. He bent down to pick Jendayi up, not really trusting her to be able to walk on her own at the moment.
