What: Sam is ransoming Dirge’s sense of taste back to him; Soundwave is verifying Dirge’s commitment to sparkle motion the terms; Wing is trying to keep the situation from deteriorating further.

‘It looks like we’ve got a go-time, so if you want to meet up in the atrium? That would be good?’

It was short, simple; a start. (Arguably, the beginning of the end.) Sam had sent the same message to Wing and Soundwave upon reaching the atrium, aware that the Cybertronians weren’t likely to keep her waiting long---if she’d messaged them prior to leaving her own apartment, they probably would’ve been waiting on her. They probably wouldn’t’ve minded, or wouldn’t’ve minded much, but she didn’t want to be discourteous---not today, when she was banking on her own intuitions and a few favours.

"Hey." Smiling, Sam raised a hand in greeting; the other remained resting on the poster tube she'd brought to carry her contract in. "He's waiting for us, actually, and I'm sorry to take up your time, but as soon as Wing gets here we'll head to the bar to hopefully wrap this business all up. For reasons---well, of health and safety---I thought it might be best if we went together. Dealing with someone that big and enthusiastically omnivorous, I like to be kind of cautious. To that end, I'm glad you're here, and I want to thank you for coming."

Speaking of, Wing comes to a landing nearby, settling lightly on his feet. He...doesn't appear entirely happy about this, but he's here, and will support Sam doing what she feels necessary to keep herself safe.

Soundwave seems to stumble a bit when Wing shows up. If he didn't look a little guilty before, he did now.

The witch glanced to Wing even as she answered. "Hopefully, and I'm going to thank you anyway. And---again, hopefully---find a way to repay you for the favour." She shouldered the poster tube and turned to the jet, attitude earnest. "Wing. Thank you for coming, too. Means we can be a bit surer of keeping a cap on this... and a lot to me, too."

No wonder I didn't see this, I forgot to track the thread. /facepalm

"Soundwave," he says with a nod. It's a greeting, an he even manages a very small smile for the younger bot.

He shifted to a knee so as not to loom over Sam. "You know I'll always have your back, Sam. I do wish there was another way."

He looks ashamed, actually, just kind of looking at everything but Wing. This is embarrassing, he doesn't want to do this with Wing watching, not after what everyone... called his little ability.

"I know. And, yeah, I know. But this is the best shot I'm going to get at shutting this business down, and it just can't go on. I could keep calling for an escort, but I shouldn't have to. It's not right, not fair. Not for me, or for you, or for anybody else agreeing to be an emergency contact because every time I'm out in the open? That's much too much... and I am not going to live worriedly watching the sky." Sam turned her attention to Soundwave, serious expression softening a little. He sounded understandably uncomfortable, unsure, and his aura didn't just echo that---it advertised it. "Getting it over with sounds good."

At the question he shifts and offers her his hand. “Walk, or I can carry you. Whatever you feel would be best.”
