Watch out; you might get what you're after. Strange,
Who: Soundwave, Wing, Sam, and Dirge.
What: Sam is ransoming Dirge’s sense of taste back to him; Soundwave is verifying Dirge’s commitment tosparkle motion the terms; Wing is trying to keep the situation from deteriorating further.
Where: First the Atrium, then the bar.
When: Shortly after this, which is after this.
Warnings: Language, Dirge.
‘It looks like we’ve got a go-time, so if you want to meet up in the atrium? That would be good?’
It was short, simple; a start. (Arguably, the beginning of the end.) Sam had sent the same message to Wing and Soundwave upon reaching the atrium, aware that the Cybertronians weren’t likely to keep her waiting long---if she’d messaged them prior to leaving her own apartment, they probably would’ve been waiting on her. They probably wouldn’t’ve minded, or wouldn’t’ve minded much, but she didn’t want to be discourteous---not today, when she was banking on her own intuitions and a few favours.

It'd come off at the bar, but he just felt a little more confident with it for now.
He just nodded dumbly, firing up his ground bridge program. Hey, he knew where the bar was, and he was never in a mood to just walk there. Wasn't much in the mood for flying either, honestly, even with the massive balcony attached to him room. Didn't seem right to call it being lazy.
Just depressed.

In short order, they were standing outside the bar, then heading inside. There were a few other patrons around, but Jadewing paid them no mind as they headed for a booth in a semi-concealed corner. He figured Soundwave would want at least a little privacy. "Anything int particular you want?", Jadewing asked as Soundwave got himself seated. "Or just 'something strong'?"
no subject
He just slides into a seat, thin fingers drumming on the table.
"Just... yeah that. Something strong."
no subject
"Right," Jadewing said. "Be right back." Jadewing headed over to the bar to place their order. Several rounds of highgrade for the both of them, though his weren't quite as strong as Soundwave's. One of them had to keep some semblance of control, after all.
He returned to the table with a loaded tray and set Soundwave's highgrade down in front of him; it glowed a bright electric blue, shot through with other rainbow colors when the liquid within shifted, evidence of its strength. Before sitting down with his own. He raised his first one in a toast. "Here's to forgetting about slag for awhile," he said

He barely looked at his drink, just grabbed it and tossed it back. Of course, he was no seasoned, hard drinker, he gagged and sputtered, shuddered and relaxed again. Like any proper teetotaler would.
"I don't think I'll be able to."
no subject
Not that it mattered at the moment. Despite the situation, Jadewing couldn't help a slight snerk at Soundwave's reaction to the high grade. "Drink it slower," he advised. "You can't chug this stuff like your morning ration." Jadewing sipped his by way of demonstration. It was a big sip, true, but he didn't down the whole cube in one go.
"You'd be surprised," he replied. "Get enough of that stuff in you and you might just forget what planet you're on."

He just coughed, venting for a moment, before taking another and trying to slow down a little more with it. He still choked. Just not as much. Still had to try and look tougher than he was, he heard all the stories about how he was apparently supposed to be.
"How many does it take?"
no subject
"Without those mods, I'd be able to drink you under the table no problem," he said. "With them though, I'd guess your tolerance might be fairly close to mine. So, a fair number, probably. I'd give you a more exact estimate, but I always lose count."
"We've got all night to find out, though," he said.
no subject
Well, at least he wouldn't pass out first right? "I guess. At least I'm not gonna fall over first." He hoped. He took another sip of his drink, his optics a little overly bright.
no subject
"I dunno," Jadewing said. "With those spindly legs of yours, you might. Especially if you try to dance."
no subject
"I can't dance anyway!" That actually made him chuckle a little, the sound almost like it was a surprise for even him to hear.

"I don't know any I guess. So uh... It'll be a learning experience."
no subject
He took a sip of his second cube, smirking a bit. "Well, 'learning experience' is one way to put it," he said. "Should be interesting in any case."
no subject
"Well what about overcharged groundbridges? That can't be as bad." Now he was nursing a third drink, optics blazing bright and his posture wavering.
"Well it'll teach me some songs, won't it?"
no subject
"Wouldn't recommend overcharged groundbridging either," Jadewing said. "Basically anything that requires precision is a bad idea when over charged; we'll probably be lucky if we can walk straight by the time we're done here, never mind groundbridging."
"That it will," Jadewing said, smirk broadening as he sipped his cube. "Though a few of the might not be appropriate for mixed company."
no subject
Oh well, looks like he was walking back to his apartment. "I guess that means no flying either, huh."
"Well I'm a pretty good singer so it's not like it'll be bad. I can just autotune it to sound sweet."
no subject
"We can use the city gates," he said. "They're only programmed for set locations, so no accidentally groundbridging ourselves to one of the moons."
Jadewing snickered, his own optics a bit brighter than normal thanks to the high grade. "Not sure if even autotune can help my singing voice," he said. "But somehow, I don't think either of us will care after a few more cubes."
no subject
True. They just had to walk to get there. "I guess we'll still be walking though."
Autotune fixes everything, Jadewing. Soundwave giggles a little, finishing his cube and going for another.
"I hope they don't throw us out."
no subject
"Don't see why they would," Jadewing said. "Unless we start breaking stuff or something."
He noticed Soundwave going for the last cube that he'd brought over and signaled the nearest server for another round. They were just getting started tonight.
no subject
"I mean he didn't use it or anything."
He started on that last cube, snickering a little and fumbling with it.
"I liked Shooter. He was... you know he was really awesome, when the war came he sort of just became a neutral. You'd like... you'd think a guy named Shooter would be all about like... shooting and stuff but he just kinda liked target practice and showing off."
no subject
"That's what's so nice about this place," he said. "Even if I don't know what to do with myself half the time."
no subject
"It's so quiet here! Like... like before the war and everything is just... really chill and people aren't dying everywhere and stuff."
no subject
"Take it you're enjoyin' the peace and quiet?", he said. "At least during the few times you're not running your vocalizer and can appreciate it." He snickered at his own wisecrack as he took a sip from his new cube. The mech had brought them both the kind of strong stuff Soundwave had gotten this time. Oh well... was good anyway.
no subject
"I don't... run it! Like... all crazy and stuff, I'm nice! People like me! Wing likes me he thinks I'm cool!"
