Help! [Open]
Who: Jendayi and YOU!
What: Explosions, all kinds of explosions. (And eventual death because I'm mean)
Where: All over central Haven
When: Most the week. Tell me what day, okay? Okay.
Wharning: She's not gonna make it. ;^;
Jendayi has been driven from the house and separated from Woo, her faithful drone. Those frightful explosions seem to be after her! She ducked into places to hide, only to be rushd out again at the heat and bang so near her. Wh-where was Lea?!
On the edge of tears she keeps moving looking for anywhere or anyone that might offer shelter, or at least company.

first day? last day? MAN IDEK
"Are you nuts, runnin' around out here like this? Lemmie give you a ride."
He'd had good luck avoiding getting KABOOMED so far, so hey.
Last day is best.
LAST DAY
"I know, kid! Hop in, I'll get you out of here!"
DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY, 24 HOURS REMAIN.
FUCK
C8
"Th-thank you for h-helping m-me."
D:
Man he is driving fast as shit let's get the fuck away from this crap kid.
I'm horrible
Because they’re mean and need to stop.
we all are 8)))))
Hang on he's gonna kind of swerve a bit away from a small explosion. SO FAR SO GOOD THOUGH, RIGHT? "haven't really had time to worry about who's doin' what!"

And...for now, seems to get her wish. The explosions slow down...and then stop completely. She’ll finally uncurl to look around.

"Well that was. Different."

Oh nooooo... ;A; (Later on the first day and I'm also mean. X3)
Imagine his surprise, then, to see Jendayi running up the street toward him, a small explosion on her own heels. "Jendayi!", he calls out. "What're you doing out here? It's dangerous!"
We shouldn't be allowed to do things like this.
We really shouldn't.
Another loud bang from nearby cuts Lea off as he once again instinctively moves to shield Jendayi. Which one of them it's there for is immaterial at the moment; time to move again. "Shit," he mutters as he starts off at a jog again, forgetting for a moment to moderate his language around little ears. "We can't keep this up..."
Yet we do.
“Wh-what will we do?”
Yep. Someone should stop us.
"I don't know," Lea confesses."I've barely had a minute to think since these things started up. But when I find whoever's causing them..." He lets the threat hang leaving the likely fate of the 'mad bomber' up to the imagination. But juginig by his tone, it's unlikely to be anything pleasant.
That’s just not possible.
True. But someone should try.
"We can't just keep running forever, though," he says. "We need to find someplace that's at least sorta out of the way of these things. Somewhere we can catch our breath and figure out what to do." He begins scanning the streets as he runs, looking for any buildings that the explosions seem to be avoiding.
They would only fail or get drawn into this horror themselves.
Re: They would only fail or get drawn into this horror themselves.
Lea ducks inside... what proves to be a storage building of some kind. A number of crates are stacked along one wall; most of them seem to be labeled 'cat food'. But more importantly than the room's contents is that it's relatively quiet. Any explosions are few and outside, muffled by the building's walls.
"Well, any port in a storm," Lea says with a sigh, sitting down on a crate to catch his breath. "We seem to be safe in here. For now, anyway."

The question of course, is whether or not they can outlast it, but he's not about to bring that up to a frightened child.

“Lea? I-I’m scared.”

He knows they can't keep this up, though. He needs to go find help; maybe see if there's a way to get the explosions to stop chasing them, at least. But he can't leave Jendayi...
Then he gets an idea. "Hey Jendayi," he says gently. "Let go for a second, OK? I'm gonna give you my coat; it's fireproof, so the explosions won't be able to hurt you while you have it on."

"There," he says. "Now you're as safe as I am." He pauses. "Jen, I need to go see if I can find help. Maybe someone who knows how to make these things quit following us anyway. I'm gonna need you to stay here til I get back, unless it gets too dangerous, in which case you run, and I'll find you later. Can I count on you to do that for me?"

And wrap here before awfulness?
He stands and heads for the door. "I'll be back as soon as I can; I promise," he says.
Probably for the best. XD;;
“.....I love you....” He may or may not hear her whispered words.
