Welcome to a New World [Open Log]

WHO: Everyone involved in Game Start
WHAT: Waking up after the explosion
WHERE: Well . . . that's for you guys to figure out, isn't it?
WHEN: Now
WARNINGS: None but what you bring with you
NOTES: Be sure to reply in your respective group thread.

At first, there is nothing. Without warning, agony erupts – a twisting, burning sensation that leaves you sure you’re about to be torn apart, but then it subsides to a sharp ache. The nothingness has taken on a purple-black appearance, shifting and flowing around you.

You’re lying on your back, and the pressure is immense. If you breathe, you feel like you’re suffocating. You struggle to sit up, to get the pressure off you. You strain and fight . . . and suddenly the mists flow off and away, taking the pressure with them. You sit up and look around.

You’re not in Kansas anymore.

Misty purple-black “bubbles” on the ground around you burst and flow off from other bodies, disappearing down into the ground and revealing familiar faces.

Wherever you are, at least you’re not here alone.

Thundercracker grunted a noncommittal reply at the correction, following it with "Thundercracker."

If he were going to say more, it was lost in the startled flinch he fought to hide as he whirled around to the sound of a voice he decidedly did not recognize. Any weakness from pain with his severed wing disappeared from his frame as he straightened. He didn't bring a weapon to bear - yet - but both rifles were quietly primed, ready to be at full power with a thought. He made a low sound, one the four trained firelizards knew meant 'hide'. "Ravage, behind me." His tone left no room for argument. To the newcomer, he asked, "Who are you and what do you want?"

The new arrival distracted her from saying anything more. Like the other two she was startled and that was just not something you did to an already paranoid spider.

She immediately switched modes again and within moments had a butterfly knife aimed in the strangers general direction as she stood on the edge of the side car.

"And where the slag did you come from."

The satyr put both hands up, his small smile a gentle expression. "My name is Galos. I'm one of the Guardians of the nearby city." He motioned off to the city they could see in the distance.

"I came to welcome you. There is a Gateway near here that will take you quickly to the city. There is a Hospital in this Sector once in the city, where you can have your injuries seen to."

Ravage was going to move behind Thundercracker like he was supposed to, but then Galos introduced himself. The jaguar bot stopped and gave the satyr a grin and a wave. Fortunately, or unfortunately, he didn't have any of the same paranoia that the other two bots had, so he was much more friendly.

"O hai! I'm Ravage! U know how we got here???"

((Ooc: on my way to an air show for the day so dunno when I'll be able to tag next. Lunnaei has god-mod rights if TC needs to say/do something. Otherwise, assume he's warily following along for whatever))

"In exchange for what?" At the moment, the prospect of proper repairs at a hospital almost - almost - took priority over even knowing how they got here, but he wanted to know what they'd be indebting themselves too first.

Blackarachnia wanted to throw something at Ravage moments after he spoke. Damned felines are nothing but trouble.

Thankfully Thundercracker was a bit smarter than the cat bot and that was something she could appreciate. "And care to tell us where the slag we are?"

Galos smiled warmly at the robot cat, inclining his head in an acknowledging nod. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ravage."

He returned his attention to all of them. "And to answer your questions in order. Yes, I know how you got here, to an extent. There is a substance of chaotic energy that covers much of the planet, well call it the Miasma, it tends to...deposit people here from time to time." He rolls a wrist a bit as he searched for an appropriate word.

"Medical care is freely given. Our resident doctor and mechanic is quite capable at treating all species and would not deny repairs to anyone. As he would be the one supplying repairs I would suggest bringing up any further concerns on this matter with him."

And finally he turned his gaze back to Blackarachnia. "As for where you are, you are on Cybertron."
im_wavin: (That wasn't pretty)

[personal profile] im_wavin 2014-10-05 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Chaotic engery???" Another head tilt as the kitty thought this over. "U mean like from that Unicorn guy??? I totes thought we stopped him!"

And wait.... What was that last bit. "And this totes does not look like Cybertron!"

Thundercracker ckoked, looking again at the trees. "Not...not anymore, Ravage, but . . . it did. Once. A long time ago." He remembered the battle that had destroyed the last crystal forest on his Cybertron. He'd been the one leading the strafing runs on the Autobots while Starscream was busy elsewhere.

He looked at Galos. "How old is this Cybertron? And . . . how many other organics are there? How long have you been here?"

Her optics narrowed when Galos named this place as Cybertron. That didn't seem possible to her. But, if there was 'chaos energy' involved...

Blackarachnia glanced up at Thundercracker as he spoke. Whatever he was referring to happened several millennia before her time and that got her to thinking. What she was concluding made her want to scream and blow someone up.

Repeatedly.

"So some believe," he said in answer to Ravage's first question. Though the second gets a curious look as his gaze sweeps over them. "You beat Unicron?"

And to answer Thundercracker's question he shrugs. "We're not sure how old exactly. We believe the planet itself may be quite old, but the...rather small civilization here isn't very old. I've been here for about five hundred years now. Our population is...well, for the size of the city, it's rather lacking, somewhere around six-hundred residents total, perhaps as much as half are organic based lifeforms."

"O yeah! We helped teh First Forge do that on 'nother Cybertron!"

He tilts his head as he listens to Galos explain this world. "Ts that y I smell organic trees that way???"
notyourblueangel: (Folded arms_Tch not interested)

Thundercracker folded his arms, leaning - he hoped - covertly on the robo-sized motorcycle for better balance. The whole missing-a-wing thing really sucked for that, among other things.

"Yes, we're part of a group that just recently beat Unicron." Okay, so more like they were part of a group that was getting its collective afts handed to them until apparently Primus himself showed up, and /HE/ beat Unicron . . . but the Seeker wasn't about to go into all that. "It's a long story, and this isn't exactly great surroundings for sitting down for story-time. How far is it to this hospital?" He'd take up owing anything with the medic once there.

Up until now Blackarachnia was just listening and trying to piece things together. So, five hundred years for the current population and who the slag knows how long for the planet.

"Is there available history tracks for us to study or do we have to wait for someone to hold story time with the newest additions to this Cybertron." Sorry Wings, she's got more important things on her mind than a hospital. "...And you said that half the population was organic. What's the other half?"

[personal profile] not_the_scapegoat 2014-10-09 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Galos smiled at Ravage. "That would be why. The Northwester Sector is mostly one large organic forest."

"Ah yes, do forgive me." He gave a small boy by way of apology. "This certainly isn't the time for stories. The hospital is quite a ways, though travel through the Gateways will cut the time it would take to get there to a fraction."

"There have been some that have taken to writing the history of this city, miss. You would be welcome to peruse them at your leisure. The library is in the center of the city. As for the other half, well...Cybertronian mostly."
