Merry Christmas to all...

Who: Lea and Jendayi first, then later Lea and anyone  who wants to come visit for the holiday
Where: Lea and Jendayi's apartment
When: Christmas day

Morning, for Jendayi

Lea still couldn't believe he'd managed to find an artificial Christmas tree and a few boxes of ornaments at the warehouse. OK, so the ornaments were obviously old and a little tacky. They were still Christmas ornaments. It meant that he could give Jendayi a proper Christmas. They'd decorated it together while he explained about what Christmas meant and some of the traditions. 

And this morning, aside from a few toys he'd arranged neatly under the tree as surprises for her, Lea had a very special present for Jendayi. Now he just needed to wait for her to wake up.

Later in the day, everyone else

OK, so it wasn't really a proper Christmas dinner. More like all of his and Jendayi's favorite foods that could be made with the ingredients available to them, all laid out buffet style on the kitchen table. They were only expecting a couple of friends, if anyone came over at all, but there were plenty of plates and plenty of food to go around if anyone did.

Wait? There would be no waiting! After hearing all about this she’s barely slept for the anticipation of what was to come this morning! If he needed a moment to get things ready this morning, he would have had to banish her to her room or outside with Fang and Woo to keep her occupied until he said she could come out/back in!!

She’s out her bedroom door the moment she hears him come out his, and is wrapped around a leg before he can get past her down the hall. “Merry Christmas!” She made sure she knew the right thing to say this morning. New holidays are fun! First one about food, and now this!

Lea chuckled as his leg was glomped. "Merry Christmas, Jendayi," he said. "Can't say I'm surprised to see you up so early; I was the same way when I was a kid."

"So anyway, breakfast first, or presents first?", he asked. As if he didn't know the answer already.

Then she may just surprise him.

“Breakfast! I’m starving!” She’ll tug him towards the kitchen.

And Fang is will eagerly follow, Woo bobbing along above.

“Maybe we can make something together?”

Well, Lea was a little surprised, but not disappointed, as he was kind of hungry himself. "Alright," he said, heading with her to the kitchen where Firebug was sitting on the counter, watching the proceedings. "Pancakes sound good? Something quick, simple, and tasty just seems like the way to go."

“I don’t know. I don’t know if I’ve ever had pancakes.” It’s an honest answer, but she seems eager to try.

"Never had pancakes before?", Lea said. "Well, we're gonna have to fix that!"

"Now, let's see," he said, thinking. "We're gonna need flour, sugar, baking powder, milk, an egg, a little bit of salt, and some butter. Plus chocolate chips, I think. Chocolate chip pancakes are the best. I'll start gathering up the ingredients while you get the cookbook out, alright?"

"Okay!" And she'll do just that. With a little bit of climbing and a little bit of wind, she'll get he book down and will bring it over. She'll stand by, waiting for Lea to gather all the ingredients.
