kismet_loop_logs | Meet the Medic [Open Log]

Who: The city's medic and mechanic...and all those who want their injuries tended.
What: The city medic doing what he can for all the new arrivals who've just been through an explosion.
Where: Hospital, located in the Northwest of the city
When: Shortly after arrival. Galos will bring everyone to the city, and show the injured to the hospital. The good medic here will care for any who come in. Don't worry, he can care for Cybertronians too.
Warnings: Only what your characters bring with them.

The hospital is quite large, located in the midst of various houses and apartments. One side is clearly designed for the organic residence, with nice sliding doors opening into a foyer and waiting area. Halls stretch off to the right to various exam rooms where the resident doctor and his apprentices can check on the sick. Down another hall are hospital rooms for those who require an extended stay.

The other side is designed for the robotic residents. The front part is a large garage, which leads to a waiting area. Past that are repair bays with with tables, each repair bay is stocked with tools. The mechanic teams range from human to Cybertronian.

Whether organic or robotic, all those who come to the hospital will see the Paian, the head medic and mechanic.

Paian looked to be nothing more than a normal human plucked out of some Victorian era, steampunk world. Large green goggled hung around his neck and large leather gloves were tucked behind a wide belt. There's nothing really fancy about his dress, he's dressed to work. He's a big guy, and a no-nonsense doctor. Those who come to see him may not his worried frown as he ushers them back to get settled where he can start to work to take care of those injuries.

[Oh look. Human medic is still here. He'll notice Wing waving Drift his way and will approach.]

Ready for repairs?

[HI HUMAN MEDIC]

Ready as I'm gonna be. Sorry, I feel like I was rude earlier.

[Paian waves a dismissive hand.] You were worried and searching for a friend. There's nothing to apologize for. C'mon then. [He motions at the nearby repair bay.]

[Drift's a little weird about being treated by HUUUUMAN, but he can't really be picky right now. He nods and moseys on over to that there repair bay.]

[Paian follows, shoving a portable scffolding uo by the table and climbing up. He guides it out over Drift and will lie down so he can reach the bot.]

We'll need to match that tire to get it replaced. As for the rest... [He sighs] I'm afraid full repairs won't be possible at this time.

They aren't?Is there some sort of supply shortage?

[He wouldn't be surprised if there was, there were kind of a lot of injured asshole laying around all of a sudden.]

No, supplies aren't the issue. There's...something strange affecting the city. People aren't healing on their own. My ability to heal others isn't working fulky either. I'll do all I can, but no matter what I or any other medic does, your repairs won't be complete.

That... doesn't make any sense to me at all, but seeing as I don't know the first thing about this place, I'll just take your word for it.

Let me put it this way then. Your ARS isn't working, and I don't know why. Which means I can only do so much before whatever repairs being done will just cause more damage.

Now...I'm going to put my hand on you, you'll feel warmth, it'll feel strange, just stay still. [He'll wait for Drift to acknowledge before he does anything.]

[Drift kind of gives him a weird look, but nods and allows the little dude to do whatever he needs.]

[Hey, he was aware that some Cybertronians had...~issues~ with being touched by organics. He always gave warning before he healed.]

[And so he presses a hand to Drift's armor and...it is a strange sensation. Warmth will flood through Drift's armor and he'll feel things shift and move back into place. But...as Paian said, the healing won't be complete. So much is fixed, but not all. This seemed to frustrate and irritate the man, though he didn't take that out of Drift.]

I'm afraid that's as good as it's gonna get for now. [He'll get up and move the scaffolding back to Drift can get up.]

[AND DRIFT DOES INDEED GET UP, twisting and bending a bit to get a feel for what's mended.]

That's fine, I really appreciate it. I feel a thousand times better.

[Paian gives him a smile.] Just sorry it can't be completed right now.

Name's Paian, by the way, head medic here if you ever need anything.

I'm Drift. Thank you again. I... don't really know how to repay you, but I'd like to.

It's not necessary, but I won't turn down a bit of help if you're so inclined to give it.

I don't have any medical training, but if there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know. Even if you just need a ride somewhere.

[He waves a dismissive hand.] There's always work to be done around here, if you're ever interested in volunteering.

I may need a little time to settle in first, but I'd be happy to help.

[He nods] Take all the time you need.

You two take care now.

Thank you again.

[Drift nods and runs off to fret over Wing for the rest of forever]

[Don't fret, you dork! He's fine!]

[He gives the medic a grateful smile and a wave and will slip an arm around Drift's waist as they walk out together.]

[DRIFT CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE SO HE'S GONNA FRET OK

HE'S FRETTING RIGHT NOW

but mostly he's trying to walk/cuddle]

[Wing will soothe your worries once they've found a room to crash in]

[You betcha....only...well maybe. Wing's wing still hurts, and wings are sensitive, man.]
