Meet the Medic [Open Log]
Who: The city's medic and mechanic...and all those who want their injuries tended.
What: The city medic doing what he can for all the new arrivals who've just been through an explosion.
Where: Hospital, located in the Northwest of the city
When: Shortly after arrival. Galos will bring everyone to the city, and show the injured to the hospital. The good medic here will care for any who come in. Don't worry, he can care for Cybertronians too.
Warnings: Only what your characters bring with them.
The hospital is quite large, located in the midst of various houses and apartments. One side is clearly designed for the organic residence, with nice sliding doors opening into a foyer and waiting area. Halls stretch off to the right to various exam rooms where the resident doctor and his apprentices can check on the sick. Down another hall are hospital rooms for those who require an extended stay.
The other side is designed for the robotic residents. The front part is a large garage, which leads to a waiting area. Past that are repair bays with with tables, each repair bay is stocked with tools. The mechanic teams range from human to Cybertronian.
Whether organic or robotic, all those who come to the hospital will see the Paian, the head medic and mechanic.
Paian looked to be nothing more than a normal human plucked out of some Victorian era, steampunk world. Large green goggled hung around his neck and large leather gloves were tucked behind a wide belt. There's nothing really fancy about his dress, he's dressed to work. He's a big guy, and a no-nonsense doctor. Those who come to see him may not his worried frown as he ushers them back to get settled where he can start to work to take care of those injuries.

Are you sure you want to know the answer to that question.
[She glances over at Paian and debates with herself for a moment.]
I want to know what's going on here.
[At this point she gestures to some of the scuffs on her body and some minor abrasions. Nothing serious and all superficial.]
This should have fixed itself. Benefit of being a Transmetal. So, why hasn't it?
[The Maximal stops walking to really look at him.]
Where did you come from.
no subject
I'll answer the easiest question first. I originally came from a planet called Earth. I've been here for around five hundred years now.
As for your...more difficult questions...I wish I knew. In the last couple weeks I've started to notice that people aren't recovering as they should be. I've the ability to heal people, and even that isn't working properly. I don't know why.
It also seems there are a number of people disappearing. It's not unusual for people to vanish, the Miasma is know to just...take people sometimes, but not this many so quickly. Or they could be off exploring. [He shrugs, the gesture saying he doesn't believe that's the case.]

[Beauty can only get this spider so far. Besides, she was Liege's initiate for a reason.]
You're from Earth. What was the year there when you left?
[As for the rest of his answers. No, she didn't believe the 'exploring' explanation either. There was always more to it then that in her experience.]
So it's not just us. Even people that have lived here for centuries aren't healing. Well slag.

It was 1859 when I first ended up here.
[He shakes his head] Not just you new arrivals. I noticed it only a couple weeks ago, which means it's likely been building longer than that.
no subject
[Better?]
...1859. What about the rest of the organics? And how about some of the others?
Exactly, how many weeks ago did this start?
no subject
From various time periods and versions of Earth. I've not talked to everyone by any means, but those I've talked to range the gamut of time periods and versions of Earth. Same for the Cybertronians and other robotic beings here.
I noticed healing was off exactly sixteen days ago, and it's steadily gotten worse in that time. In that time at least sixty people, that we're aware of, have disappeared, and at least one of those another Guardian.

Are any of the Cybertronian's calling themselves Maximals or Predacons?
[It was a long shot and she really doubted it. But, if he said they were from various eras, it didn't hurt to ask.]
...So a similar time frame to when we were fighting Unicron.
[It didn't take a genius to see that it might be related.]
So, what makes you a guardian and who's the one that disappeared.
no subject
Unicron? [Now you have his interest.]
Demi-god-like powers strong enough to hold most of the Miasma out of the city. [kind of off-handed. He's not one that's overly impressed with power, so talking about his abilities doesn't sound remotely like boasting like it might from another.]
The one missing is a Tej Abri named Sirrah. Though, I'll admit, she's a strange one and tends to disappear for periods of time when she feels like it. This time though her disappearance kept her from coming to meet with me to discuss the odd way people aren't healing. She's rather particular about keeping promises to people, and is as curious as a...cat. [Dear lord he almost seems about to facepalm at his own use of words there. He does kind of sigh at himself.] Point is, she'd not have missed that meeting, and she did.
no subject
[Now he REALLY has her attention.]
What do you mean 'holding most of the Miasma out of the city?' The Unicron I know about would have been happy to destroy this city just to piss off Primus.
[And then this conversation just got infinitely more interesting.]
Exactly how many of you are there, including her.
no subject
The Guardians hold the Miasma out...as much as possible. It actually comes up from the planet itself. Go out far enough, though, and you'll find a wall of that inky mist. I'd suggest staying out of it, it's chaos, literally. And yes, it would very likely destroy the city and everyone in it if we weren't here to keep it out.
There's eleven right now.
no subject
[Blackarachnia just wants to know who they are. As for the rest, she's filing away the information for her use and debating on whether or not she should poke at the chaos.]
Eleven.
We had Primes protecting us and from the sounds of it, the jobs are similar.
no subject
[And be careful around that chaos. He means that!]
Possible. We weren't the first ones here, though whoever started building this place was long gone by the time I arrived.
no subject
Great. Did the previous inhabitants leave anything behind.
no subject
I'd suggest taking someone with you if you decide to go poking about any of the ruins, though, they can be dangerous.
no subject
[The ruins definitely has her attention along with everything else he was telling her. It was definitely on her list.. just a little further down than the rest. For now.]

[Or she'll just send probes out. That option seems most likely.]
