Meet the Medic [Open Log]
Who: The city's medic and mechanic...and all those who want their injuries tended.
What: The city medic doing what he can for all the new arrivals who've just been through an explosion.
Where: Hospital, located in the Northwest of the city
When: Shortly after arrival. Galos will bring everyone to the city, and show the injured to the hospital. The good medic here will care for any who come in. Don't worry, he can care for Cybertronians too.
Warnings: Only what your characters bring with them.
The hospital is quite large, located in the midst of various houses and apartments. One side is clearly designed for the organic residence, with nice sliding doors opening into a foyer and waiting area. Halls stretch off to the right to various exam rooms where the resident doctor and his apprentices can check on the sick. Down another hall are hospital rooms for those who require an extended stay.
The other side is designed for the robotic residents. The front part is a large garage, which leads to a waiting area. Past that are repair bays with with tables, each repair bay is stocked with tools. The mechanic teams range from human to Cybertronian.
Whether organic or robotic, all those who come to the hospital will see the Paian, the head medic and mechanic.
Paian looked to be nothing more than a normal human plucked out of some Victorian era, steampunk world. Large green goggled hung around his neck and large leather gloves were tucked behind a wide belt. There's nothing really fancy about his dress, he's dressed to work. He's a big guy, and a no-nonsense doctor. Those who come to see him may not his worried frown as he ushers them back to get settled where he can start to work to take care of those injuries.

[Heads back out with the mop and bucket to tackle the big puddle around the med berth.]
Wonder who did the selecting? The last time I was on a Cybertron like this, a group of mechs called the Firstfrged were in charge. Huge mechs, basically demigods, and none too fond of giving straight answers; you guys are already a significant improvement in that department.
[Whatever issues he had with trusting them, these Guardians had already proved much more willing to answer questions and also to just be around than the Firstforged had ever been. Though only time would tell if that remained true.]
Galos didn't seem to know anything about them though, other than the fact that there were some ruins outside the city.

Hn, your First Forged sound like the ones who made me a Guardian. [He rolls his eyes and....pulls a deep breath.] Not all are so readily available, but I am.
[He nods.] Can't say the term is familiar to me, though if they were here I guess the ruins may be what's left of their mark on the planet. They're huge structures, or would be if they still stood. And I mean, huge even to someone like you.

[Is that a note of bitterness there? Why yes it is.]
Good to know you're around though at least. Medics are always good to have around.
[Jadewing nods thoughtfully as he mops, the process a little slower than it might normally be due to the stiffness of his recently repaired injuries.]
Hmmm... Sounds about right. Most of them were at least twice my size, and their temples were made to match.

I've tried my best not to let it go to my head. I started out a normal human, I don't want to start thinking "normal" people aren't as important or something.
[He leans against the wall, arms crossed, enjoying the...break to just chat.]
[He nods.] You'll have to let me know what you find out. If you decide to explore any of them anyway. Just...don't go alone, they're not exactly safe places.

Or maybe it wasn't quite the same thing. Regardless, he was familiar with the concept.]
Hmph... Distance is one thing. Disappearing into the wilderness for months at a time and not giving those they were theoretically in charge of any idea when or if they'd be back is another. And the only reason they did eventually turn up was that the whole damn planet was about to get fragged.
[Clearly, their lack of presence was rather irksome to Jadewing. He'd never even seen one until the very end when the whole planet was in danger of being devoured by Unicron. Oddly that thought made him briefly notice the small, warm weight of the talisman Solus and Nexus had given him, tucked securely away in a small storage compartment in his cockpit, which in turn made him feel slightly guilty. But only slightly.]
And you're already doing better than a good chunk of those in my universe would then. You'd be surprised how many people really can't handle power. Even relatively benign power, like yours.
[Like, say, most Decepticons, probably including Jadewing himself. He chuckles slightly, though, at the warning not to go exploring alone.]
Not to worry. I've already had someone... very politely insist that he come with me. And we'll probly see if anybody else wants to come before we actually head out.

[He nods approvingly.] Look out for each other. If something happens, I...can only do so much right now. [And that makes him frown.]

Both he and I are tough mechs. I'm sure we'll be able to handle ourselves.
